Subcapsular renal hematoma after
ureteroscopic lithotripsy
by pneumatic lithoclast.

Abstract:
Nowadays, ureterorenoscopic lithotrisy (URSL) is widely used
and a popular
technique in the urology. Catastrophe, complication
frequently included fever, colic pain, dysuria, gross hematuria, perforation,
false passage, intussusception, avulsion…Subcapsular renal hematoma(SRH) after
ureteroscopic lithotripsy is a very rare catastrophe, which has not been
mentioned in medical texbooks. Only a number of casaes were introduced in
literature during few years ago.
We present a 51-year-old female patient who has developed
subcapsular renal hematoma after URSL by pneumatic lithoclast with a left lower ureteric radiolucent
calculus on 17th day postoperation, who has managed
succesfully with drainage by open surgery.
